Echography/ Ultrasound

Examen échographie, Imagerie La Chaux-de-Fonds

Echography is a painless and non-invasive imaging technique using ultrasound. The images produced are viewed in real-time and allow the different organs as well as the vessels and the speed of blood flow inside a vein or artery to be assessed (Doppler-echography). A gel is applied between the skin and the probe to prevent air from interrupting the transmission of the ultrasound waves.
